Tomorrow (Saturday) is the birthday of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit of Thailand, and that means Monday is a public holiday - a substitution day because her birthday falls on a weekend this year. Sunday is also Mothers Day here - because Her Majesty is considered the mother of the nation. It's also my birthday on Sunday, so while I am here I will always get a day off pretty near my birthday - very convenient !
