THE BARTER TO BEAT ALL BARTERS

Barter advertising is widespread in Thailand. As far as a publisher is concerned it means that we give advertising space in our publication in return for goods or services of the same value from the advertiser.
Today we've been offered what, on the face of it, is the barter deal to beat all barter deals. One property developer wants to advertise in our new magazine for one year, and in return they will give us one of their new condominiums (worth 1.7 million baht).
I have to say it's pleasing that an advertiser sees the benefit of promoting their product through our magazine, but at the same time what on earth would we do with a one-bed condo on Sukhumvit 62 ? My boss knows I've been looking at property and he jokingly (I think) suggested I could live there.
In all seriousness we've been swamped with advertisers who want to advertise but don't want to pay cold hard cash. We're not accepting any barter deals, and I'm pretty sure we will politely decline this one too.
