How would you feel if your employer prohibited you from using Facebook.com ?
If you're an employer of The Canadian Broadcasting Company then that's exactly what you're facing right now. http://www.insidethecbc.com/facebookpolicy I know many news organisations do not allow their staff to blog, or at least they will not the discussion of work issues on personal blogs.
For an example of what might happen you only have to look at the recent example in my old home town of Wokingham where a member of staff was sacked for writing '... I can't want to leave Argos because it's sh*t' on his Facebook diary. Also in the UK employees' access to Facebook has already been banned at Transport for London, LloydsTSB, the Metropolitan Police and Credit Suisse.
Do you think that's going too far, or should staff be allowed to write anything and everything about their employers ?
