A State of Emergency has reportedly been declared at Bangkok's two airports, Suvarnabhumi and Don Muang, and throughout Bangkok many state and private companies have sent staff home early.
Rumours of a coup have been intensifying all day and unless the Thai media is very wrong (how often does that happen?) all the pieces seem to be falling into place for some kind of military intervention to end the current crisis in Thailand. Whether that's a full scale coup or army backing the Police to end the anti Government protests only time will tell.
