CATS AND DOGS EVERYWHERE

Stray cats and dogs are everywhere in Bangkok. Tanya and I have given them names based on where they happen to be at the time we see them. Pictured here is 'condo cat' who was outside my condo a few weeks ago. She wasn't in the least big camera shy and let me get really close. I'll try and get some pictures in the next few weeks of 'pier dog' and 'telephone box dog' too.
Many of the dogs especially have clear signs of skin diseases. It's sad to look at them, but most of them seem pretty well fed so the locals do look after them well. There are also charities, such as Soi Dog Rescue (Soi is Thai for street), that look after them and try to find them new homes.
