Don't worry Mum, you're not missing anything.
I've decided to get a cat or kitten, and I've made contact with the wonderful Soi Dog Rescue to discuss adopting one of their needy pets. It would be easy to go to Chatuchak Market or any temple to get a cat, but I want to support the great work that SDR is doing and give a second chance to one of their rescued cats at the same time.
Those who know me will also know I suffer from asthma, and in the past that was made worse by animals. When I stayed at home with my parents and their two cats Oli and Fluff, I did notice a change. I really think that living full-time with a cat will help me to finally overcome this allergy.
I'll keep you informed.
