MORE BLANK SPACES

Not that many people will care given the decision to shutter the Thailand edition of the International New York Times by the end of the year.
What's surprising about this latest incident on Monday of this week is that it was reported by The Bangkok Post. Normally they would steer well clear of anything remotely sensitive like this.
The story (www.bangkokpost.com/news/general/795784/local-printer-pulls-another-nyt-article) appeared in print and online, and gives background as to why the article was "pulled" by the Thailand printer.
This is at least the fourth time this (black spaces) has happened in the last three months.
Personally I do not think that this article was censored by the authorities, moreover it was an act of self-censorship - with the printers and publishers knowing the possible consequences of someone somewhere taking offense.
