EVERYTHING AT THE TOUCH OF A BUTTON

I am pretty sure this will be the last of the pictures from my Chiang Mai trip last week. It was taken during a visit to the new D2hotel, part of the Dusit chain.
It's very hip and trendy - not to mention expensive. It's about 200 UK pounds per night for a room, which is double the wage of the average Thai. But it's not aimed at them - it's aimed at the high society elite of Thailand and also the foreign visitors.
The person standing on my right is our Chiang Mai-based editor. She was a great help with translating and her English is pretty good, although she doesn't think so herself. (What was I saying about self confidence earlier?)
I was really impressed with the hotel though; it's got lots of style and many unique features. One of the best is a 'desire button' next to the bed. They claim that if you have any desire and press the button, someone will come to your room and help fulfill that desire. I bet some people would pay 200 quid just to play with that button! They have other gimmicks too. The general manager of the hotel is called the 'guru' and the person looking after the media has the job title 'PR wizz'.
Now I wonder what I can call my all-encompasing role here at Bangkok Station Network? Sensible suggestion on a postcard to .....
