SECURITY INCREASED

There is certainly increased security around Bangkok in light of recent events. Many of the BTS (sky train) and MRT (underground) stations are being guarded by police or armed soliders, although to date I have only had my bags searched once - when entering a shopping centre on Tuesday.
I fear this particular solider in this Reuters News Agency image has been distracted from his job, or perhaps he will argue that we was just checking out some suspicious packages!
