INSTYLE - DIFFERENT ENOUGH TO SURVIVE?

InStyle Magazine is the latest title to arrive in Thailand as a licensed local language publication. Essentially it's an American title from Time, Inc., but it's in what I consider to be an already saturated sector here in Thailand - women's lifestyle.
It will be up against the established titles like Cosmopolitan, Elle, Cleo, etc, not to mention the many home-grown Thai titles. It's not just competing for the same readers - it will be trying to capture the same advertisers in what is already a fiercely competitive marketplace.
It will be interesting to see if InStyle can establish itself here, and whether it's different enough to stand out from the crowd.
