IF IT'S WESTERN, IT SELLS

New property developments are springing up everywhere, each with more and more unusual names and concepts. I've written before about the Thai peoples preoccupation with anything 'Western' and that also extends to property.
"Bangkok Cannes" is a new development in the Pinklao area of Bangkok. It's the 'other' side of the river from the city although in a reasonably good location for current and planned transport links.
I'm just a little confused as to how this property resembles Cannes? Can any of you see it? Do you think property developers in Southern France are using Bangkok to sell there property? I wonder what that concept would be.
