PRESTIGE AIMS FOR NEW YORK LAUNCH

Folio reports the Singapore-based Prestige magazine is aiming to launch in New York early next year.
A licensed English language edition is produced in Thailand by Media Expertise International, the magazine publishing division of Nation Multimedia Group. Other editions are also produced in Malaysia, Hong Kong and Indonesia.
Prestige's main rival in Thailand is Thailand Tatler. Both are aimed at the Thai and Expat hi-so market, both in terms of readers and advertisers. Making the magazine work in this part of the world is hard enough but making it work in the cut-throat media environment of the Big Apple will be a big challenge.
