MORE MAGAZINE AWARDS FOR THAILAND

Last month Bangkok was named as the top city in the world by readers of Travel and Leisure magazine. Yesterday the U.S.-based Conde Nast Traveler magazine released the results of its annual Readers Choice awards, with Bangkok being named as the 'Top City in Asia'. The Northern Thai city of Chiang Mai made what I consider to be a surprise appearance in second place, with Hong Kong placed third. Phuket was third in the 'Best Island in Asia' category behind Maldives and Bali, and The Four Seasons Tented Camp Golden Triangle in Chiang Rai was voted the 'Top Resort in Asia'.
Conde Nast Traveler is reported to have a readership of 3.1 million per month and is widely regarding as the most balanced and independent travel magazine in the market.
