OFF TOPIC BUT INTERESTING

I went up to London Heathrow yesterday to see the arrival into the UK of the first new super-jumbo, the Airbus A380. There were literally thousands of people watching and traffic was gridlocked as the huge aircraft came into land at 1.15pm. It brought back memories of when Concorde was making its last flights in the UK, but I doubt whether this monster will have such a loyal following in the future.
As for this picture I am really pleased with it. There is only a little manipulation in photoshop and the clouds really did their best to contribute to a better image. The only thing that is missing is some scale - you can't tell from this image just how huge the aircraft is. Perhaps when I come back to the UK for holidays I might get to see one of these from the inside ? Singapore Airlines in the launch customer and will be flying it on its London-Singapore-Australia route, and Emirates and Qatar will also have some of the first ones off the production line.
