WWW - WORLD WIDE WAIT

Time for a moan. One of the things that is becoming increasingly frustrating for me in the state of the internet in Thailand. I am talking generally and not in my office. The speed is so slow - and the super-duper 'broadband' is equivilent to dial-up in the UK. And it is so unreliable.
This morning, for example, we were without email and internet for four hours. It's now back - but I am not sure whether it's back for good. For the 'Executive Foreign Manager' who spends all day liasing with contacts overseas via email it was a bit of a problem.
It's going to be a big problem when we get licences for overseas publications - and the large files that will need to be sent backwards and forwards. It has been suggested that we might need to install a satellite receiver on the roof of our office block to handle the bigger files - don't you think that's crazy?
