YOU PAY YOUR MONEY ...

... and take a bit of a gamble when trying to buy a simple packet of crisps. Given the fact I cannot (and will never be able to) read Thai, even this simple act is frought with danger. Earlier in the week I brought what I thought was a packet of 'plain' crisps. I should have known that nothing in Thailand is plain, and I actually ended up with Chilli Paste flavour! If you strike lucky then there are clues - like a picture of a smiling lobster on the front of the packet. I steered well clear of the ones with the Elephant on, although I was later told that was actually the brand logo. Talk about confusing!
