BACK TO BASICS

Earlier in the week I spent a few hours at one of the 'roadshows' for our free job seekers magazine 'Seek Weekly'. Although the title is free, the good thing about it is that it's actually given right into the hands of people, and not left in a pile somewhere which is often the case here in Thailand. I think I gave out close to 200 copies in an hour, and I think only two people refused to take a copy - a pretty good success rate I think. Perhaps the novelty value of having a farang (foreigner) give them something was too good to resist?
It was a good learning experience for me, but was also good for our distibution staff because they really appreciated the fact that someone of management level was taking a genuine interest in what they are doing.
