AIMING FOR THE STARS
In the past eight months I have become an avid reader of business management and motivational books - not least because I will very soon have 25 staff that will be relying on me for leadership.
One of the best quotes I have read recently is 'Aim for the stars and maybe you'll reach the sky'. I guess that's what we have done my securing the BusinessWeek license. We aimed for the best and we got it.
When we launch our new magazine in June we will have a celebration party for VIPs, and my boss thinks it will be a good idea to try and get a really, really important person from the business world. It has to be someone that Thai executives and managers can aspire to and can learn from. I also think it should be someone from the US, given BW started in the US.
We're aiming very high indeed with our list of possible people. Thing really big. Think biggest businessman in the world. Mr Gates, if you happen to be reading this blog please drop me an email and we can discuss terms.

I live on the edge of Seattle and drive near Microsoft the days I commute, fortunately not 5 days a week. But I haven't seen Bill Gates lately. It's been over 10 years. Though you can see his house from a huge area of Seattle - across Lake Washington. In Google Earth go to 47 37 39N 122 14 39W (degrees, min, seconds).
Just discovered your blog. We spent 12 days in Thailand in January. Bangkok and a beach resort east of Rayong.
Ron,
Thanks for your post. It is much appreciated. I'm not getting very far with making contact with the elusive Mr Gates, but I haven't given up hope just yet.
