AMBITIOUS THAIS DO EXIST

I admit it, I was wrong. I have been critical of the apparent lack of ambition of the majority of Thai people I have come into contact with since June, but I have been very surprised and please by the response to a job advert we placed in one of our own publications this morning.
As of 12noon we had six quality applicants for some of the BusinessWeek Thailand jobs - and I think they could all end up with jobs if we can afford them. All but one have media experience which is fantastic, and probably indicates that they appreciate the high standards which we will adopt will benefit them and their long term career prospects. I am also hopeful that we can appoint our editor-in-chief next week, once the top editorial people in New York have approved him.
Now I need to find time to interview the new candidates. Should be fun!
