CHINESE NEW YEAR, PART ONE

This weekend marks the start of the Chinese New Year. Many companies, including mine, give Monday as a holiday although it's not an official holiday in Thailand.
This morning I went with Tanya to her hotel for a CNY ceremony, complete with food and firecrackers. Tomorrow evening we are going to Chinatown and, hopefully, I will get to take some pictures of the lion dancing.
The picture here, which I actually think is one of the best I have taken since I have been here, was of one of the hotel employees paying her respects to the spirit house, where this morning's ceremony took place.
