A LOAD OF KRAP

The Thai word for thanks is pronounced 'krap' - and when I was in Singapore I found myself saying it ... TWICE! The first time was when I got into the taxi at Changi Airport. I told the driver where I wanted to go and he said 'No problem, Sir' and I replied with 'krap' before I even had chance to think what I was saying.
I am annoyed with myself for it, but at the same time I guess it shows how 'Thinglish' I am starting to become. Just remember if you meet me when I am back in the UK, and I say 'krap' to you, it's nothing personal. Unless you're my brother John, in which case .....
