NO FRILLS IT IS

I know you've all been waiting in anticipation of my decision about whether to take a full-service or budget airline for my Singapore trip next week. Well, the results are in, the phone lines have closed ... and the winner is - Thai Air Asia, a budget airline in the EasyJet/Ryanair/Southwest Airlines mould.
In the end it did come down to cost; as I said before budget is one of my responsibilities so I didn't want to spend more than I have to. The price I have paid for this flight and one night in a decent hotel is only a few quid more than the cost of the flight with either Thai Airways or Singapore Airlines.
The trip to Jakarta in a few weeks will be a different story as there are only two airlines - Thai and Garuda Indonesia - that fly direct from Bangkok. I'm certain we will pick Thai for the trip.
