ROLES REVERSED

It was a strange feeling to switch on the television this morning and see the first item on CNN about a 'bomb' in my old home town. A device sent to an accountancy company in Wokingham exploded yesterday morning, injuring two people. To see some of the people I met regularly, such as the Wokingham police offers and ambulance spokesman, was weird to say the least.
My mind immediately went back to New Years Eve when that same station carried the initial headline 'Bombs rock Bangkok'. Somehow 'Bomb rocks Wokingham' doesn't have to same media appeal, does it?
What I am trying to say is that no matter where you are in the world you can never been 100 per cent sure of your safety. I know what happened in Wokingham is not on the same scale as what happened here, but it proves the point that no one can be truly safe.
