A LATE NIGHT FOR SOME ...

The final ruling came at 11.42pm last night, and unsurprisingly (in my view) Thaksin and more than 100 of his political colleagues were banned from politics for five years and his former party, Thai Rak Thai, was ordered to be disbanded.
Today will be interesting because it's a public holiday and will give people time to reflect on what has happened. I doubt we'll see any of the widely predicted violence but there are many already saying that simply wiping out a major political party creates a biased political climate.
