GREAT NEWS, WRONG HEADLINE

From The Nation and The Bangkok Post today -
'Bangkok named third world's best city'.

As far as I am aware Thailand isn't a third world country, but on reading the story what you actually discover is that Bangkok has been named in third place in the best city category in a poll by Travel + Leisure Magazine. Talk about a misleading headline!
In the same poll The Peninsula Bangkok was also named as the best hotel under $250 and The Four Seasons Resort in Chiang Mai as the best hotel spa in Asia.

See how interesting English language is. Especially words with more than one meaning. They confuse the syntax of the sentence too.

I remember one headline which I came across quite some time ago and it says "Man runs out of room in underwear". Did you get the other meaning? LOL!

Have a good day.

Yes, Andrew! I saw this and had to read it a few times before I twigged. Confused the hell out of me for a bit because I think the story mentioned Sweden as well, or somewhere similarly un-third world.
