MEDIA CHAT

I had a great meeting yesterday afternoon with a guy called Tom who runs a media communications agency here in Bangkok. Like me he's also originally from the UK and like me he has a pretty poor impression of the standards of the media here in Thailand.
There are some good people, don't get me wrong, but that are far outnumbered by those who are basically corrupt by 'Western' standards. But because almost everyone operates in the same way then it's considered to be standard practise.
It was good to have the thoughts and feelings that I have built up over the last year confirmed by someone who's been here longer than me.
