PROTESTERS HAVE NOTHING BETTER TO DO ?

Extra police and army offices have been drafted into Bangkok to maintain security over the long weekend (Monday is a public holiday here) and quell fears of further protests.
On the way to a meeting yesterday I went past the site of the current protests and it was clear to me that those present obviously have nothing better to do. This was at around 10.30am when most people should be working. They all appeared to be unemployed, which backs up the claims I've heard from various sources that these people are paid to turn up and create disturbances.
When the Bangkok middle classes start protesting then perhaps we should start to take notice, but right now I would guess most people protesting are doing so for unethical reasons.
