WILL YOU BE GOING POTTY ABOUT POTTER?

The new Harry Potter book is released at one minute past midnight British Summer Time on Saturday morning - which is 6:01am here in Thailand.
Kinokuniya Bookshop at Siam Paragon (my favourite bookshop) is opening specially and is offering the book for the special price of 590 baht for the first 300 customers. The regular price will be 1,050 baht.
I must be one of the few people in the world that hasn't ready a single Harry Potter book, but for some reason I am half tempted to get up early and go shopping. I suspect they'll be a sizable turnout from the local media and I'm curious to know how many Thai people will actually bother to get up early and go potty about Potter.

I'm one of the few who hasn't read any of the Harry Potter books like you and I fall asleep at the climax of every Harry Potter movie so I couldn't understand what's happening in the latest movie. Doh!
I'm afraid I still can't fathom the hype and the lure of this fantasy story.

Thanks Sanne. I don't understand it either but I wouldn't mind a fraction of JK Rowling's fortune.
