BACK TO SCHOOL
My good friend Janis has highlighted the fact that my use of written English has not been good of late. (Thanks Janis). She picked up about a dozen errors in my last post (which I have now edited), but the funny thing is that I was going to write about this very subject today anyway.
I had a meeting with a guy from the British Chamber of Commerce yesterday, during which I found myself using the kind of shortened English phrases that I would use when talking to my Thai and Japanese colleagues. That's not good.
The problem is I tend to shorten what I want to say to make it easier to understand. Why say ten words when two or three will do? Those problems, along with basic grammatical errors, appear to be creeping into my blog too. Help!
