THE HEAT IS BACK IN BANGKOK

It's got noticeably warmer and more humid (the BBC Weather website is reporting humidity at 89 per cent) in Bangkok over the past 36 hours. The 'cold' season seems to have ended already and today's temperatures are predicted to hit 34 degrees Celsius. The change was even more obvious this morning when my glasses steamed up the moment I got out of the air-conditioned interior of the taxi. It's also very misty, almost foggy, and I understand a few flights at Suvarnabhumi Airport had to be diverted yesterday morning due to visibility problems.

Sometimes, I wonder how western people manage to cope with Bangkok weather. Sometimes it rains, but later on the air can become quite humid. It does not seem to suit well with Farangs, I think.

Thanks for posting your comment. I think those of us who have chosen to make Bangkok our home just accept the weather as part of the amazing Thailand experience. Mai Pen Rai.
I agree though; hot and humid doesn't always come easy to someone like me from a colder and wetter climate like the UK.

I always used to wince when I saw the weather report of "34C and foggy." One actually gets used to hot and humid, but I would frankly rather get used to cold and dry.
