THAILAND IN MOURNING

The government has declared 15 days of national mourning, during which flags on government buildings and schools will fly at half mast, and government officials and agency employees have been asked to wear black. Members of the royal family and court officials will observe a 100 day period of mourning.
Her Royal Highness was born in Edinburgh, Scotland and was the sister of two of Thailand's kings. His Majesty the King and other members of the royal family had been regular visitors to Siriraj Hospital in recent months. The funeral procession is set to take place later today.
