WEARING BLACK

Following the death yesterday of HRH Princess Galyani, the elder sister of His Majesty the King, the Thai government has requested cooperation from members of the public to wear black for a period of 15 days. Members of the Royal family and the cabinet will observe a full 100 days of mourning. The government has also asked the entertainment venues suspend their activities for 15 days. I only have three black shirts; none are completely black and one is a t-shirt with a Mickey Mouse logo on. Perhaps not the best thing to wear right now.
If anyone ever wanted an indication of how revered and loved the Thai monarchy is then this sad occasion is the perfect example.
