A CONFUSING NAME FOR A MAGAZINE

As I mentioned yesterday I spend a lot of time studying the Thai publishing industry. There are some weird and wonderful Thai language magazines out there, including the confusingly named Slim Up magazine.
Think about it. Slim Up? Is it even possible to slim up? Surely it's correct to say slim down? You could even argue that slimming up is the exact opposite to slimming down, and therefore the title of this magazine can literally mean get fat.
I've also seen, although not recently, a magazine about fishing with the strapline 'The magazine for Thailand's fisherman'. Producing an entire magazine for one person seems an awful lot of work.
Does anyone else have any examples?

How about "The Most Sexiest" or "How to Respect" (respect what?)or "Veggie Rock Salad" (mineral deficiency?) from the cover?

And is it fair to compare the picture on the cover with the one recently taken of Miley Cyrus? "Artistic" indeed! Ahem.

This is one of our personal jokes between my friends and I. We were amused by the Thais using the term 'slim up' as opposed to 'slim down'. Once, I even got corrected by my Thai friends that I was wrong to use 'slim down'! My point being, for someone who publicizes bad English, would be educating the public wrong English.

Miley Cyrus is probably too young to appear in that kind of outfit on a magazine cover. If a Thai female star at her age does that, the thai public will similarly go mad. Conservatism is everywhere ;p

btw, it should say "how to earn respect" rather than "how to respect", judging from the caption in Thai.
