STRUCK BY VERTIGO

The last few days have been a write-off because of another attack of vertigo. This one started while I was shaving on Wednesday morning in Dubai. There was no warning or no indication - feelings of dizziness just hit me. That attack lasted for only a couple of minutes but I had more similar waves of dizziness through the day and during the flight back to Bangkok.
Since then I've been in bed almost all of the time and yesterday I was feeling dizzy almost all the time. It's hard for doctors to know how to treat vertigo when they cannot determine the cause. Everything else appears to be fine.
This is the second attack of vertigo since I came to Bangkok. I didn't have anything like this before I came here so I wonder whether living in this part of the world has made me more prone?

Oi Andrew..

Are you sure it's not a symptom of something MORE SERIOUS?? You should have it checked out..

learnt a new word today... vertigo..

btw Vertigo can also occur after long flights where the mind gets used to turbulance. A person feel as if they are moving up and down (especially inside relativly small rooms. This usually subsides after a day. The symptoms can still occour for a few days (just not as severe and fading away as time goes by)
