MAGAZINE SUBSCRIPTIONS

Have you ever purchased a magazine subscription just because of the free gift on offer? It's nice to get something from a publisher as a reward for your commitment but I think very few of you have made that decision purely based on the gift.
In Thailand very few magazines do subscriptons marketing in the same way as other parts of the world. Some give a 20% discount and even few give gifts. That might be why very few publishers seems to be successful when it comes to this important part of the business.
From talking to various people in the industry it seems that anything more than 1,000 subscribers for a monthly magazine in Thailand appears to be considered pretty good, and thankfully my magazine is well over that number.
