AIRPORT LINK DELAYED - AGAIN

A small story tucked away on the back of the business section of The Bangkok Post this morning reveals further delays to the long-awaited Bangkok airport rail link.
According to the story it will be May 8 next year before the link is completed - some 18 months behind schedule and more than 2½ years after Suvarnabhumi airport first opened.
The story also says the line will link the airport and the central business district of Bangkok. Really? Since when was Makkasan (where my office is located and the site of the terminal station) part of the central business district?
Right now the site still resembles a building site. I can see the station from my office window and it seems like it will be another 10 months at least before trains start running.

Oh, what an idiotic state that link is at. 18 months alerady. Makes me so sad, so sad. Can anything public investment done in time and in budget in Thailand? It is not even joke or funny, it is more and more just downright sad. I am feeling ashame and i am not even Thai.
