"IT'S JUDGEMENT DAY" CLAIM PROTESTERS

3.45PM:
Things are kicking off big time in parts of Bangkok and elsewhere in Thailand. Protesters are Police have clashed and Government House, while in the south protesters are reportedly blocking access to Phuket, Krabi and Hat Yai airports. No flights have been diverted or cancelled as yet.
For updated coverage I'd suggest checking out the following:
The Nation, The Bangkok Post, Absolutely Bangkok, and Bangkok Pundit.
Today is pay day for a lot of Thai people so I expect this, combined with the ongoing unrest, will make for a longer than usual trip home this evening. There also looks to be a storm brewing (in more ways than one).

This whole thing of "mob rule" has been interesting, and not a little depressing. For one thing, you have the poor against the middle class/wealthy, the urban against the rural, and the "educated elite" against the "ignorant masses". This is how Cambodia collapsed into mass murder and self-inflicted genocide.

If PAD wants to succeed, it will have to be through a process that may take 20 years, not overnight.
