ONE KILLED, DOZENS INJURED IN CLASHES

One man was killed and up to 40 people have been injured in clashes between the PAD and pro-Government supporters earlier this morning. Up to 400 troops were deployed and according to The Nation some kind of order has now been restored. The Bangkok Post says: "The dead man was shot in the chest and beaten around the head, reporters at the scene said. Friends said he was a PAD supporters from Nakhon Ratchasima, who had only arrived in Bangkok on Tuesday with a busload of friends to support the demonstrations aimed at forcing the government to resign."
Neither printed editions carry this news as it happened around 1am. It's a perfect example of how printed media is out-of-date before it even gets to its readers. One thing that is surprising is that neither BBC nor CNN were reporting the latest clashes up until 6am when I left home.
