PRIME MINISTER TO RESIGN?

Thailand's Prime Minister Samak Sundaravej will address the nation in 30 minutes (at 7.30am), and some news websites and blogs are predicting he will announce his resignation. Thailand's Foreign Minister tendered his resignation yesterday evening, a move which The Bangkok Post thinks could accelerate the fall of the government.
Samak is under increasing pressure. Yesterday leading academics and lecturers called on him to go, and university students have announced they will gather at Siam Square in the heart of Bangkok today in support of the anti-government protesters. Samak seems to have few options, but the question is what will happen next if he does quit?
