THAI MAGAZINES

Continuing the focus on some of Thailand's licensed magazines we turn to BusinessWeek Thailand, produced by Bangkokstation Network under license from The McGraw-Hill Companies Inc.
BusinessWeek Thailand is a monthly magazine and contains around 30 per cent locally produced content, the rest being translated from the global English magazine and website. It was launched in August 2007 and has a cover price of 175 baht. It is the only licensed magazine in the business sector.
The October cover story could not be more timely. The stark 'crisis' headline is even more apt following events this week, even though the basis of the selection of stories was the events of early last month. Even so the impact from the ongoing political tensions remain and are impacting on the business sector in Thailand, as the magazine reports.

Editorial Note: The author of this blog is Executive Director for BusinessWeek Thailand, as regular readers will know.
