NEW LOOK AND FREQUENCY FOR ASIA NEWS

Asia News, the regional English news magazine produced by the Asia News Network, has adopted a new cover design and reduced its frequency from weekly to bi-weekly.
The Asia News Network is a group of English language daily newspaper from throughout Asia. Titles represented include The Straits Times, The Jakarta Post, The Korea Herald and The Brunei Times. Thailand's representative is The Nation, and indeed the magazine is designed and printed in the kingdom. Content is varied and is drawn from newspapers across the region.
Apart from the cover design there are just a few design changes to the inside of the magazine. Pagination has increased, from 36 pages in the weekly edition to 52 pages in the fortnightly issue. The cover price in Thai baht remains the same at 100 baht, but the US$ price has increased from $2.50 to $3.00.
Advertising has always been on the light side in this magazine which, to the best of my knowledge, relies on the airlines for most of its distribution. It's also on sale in a few bookshops in Bangkok but not in any great numbers. A lot of copies have previously found their way to the magazine retailers at Bangkok's Chatuchak Weekend Market.
