AD SPEND IN THAILAND
By far the most popular advertising medium in Thailand is television, as the chart from The Bangkok Post shows here.
Digital television showed the largest year-on-year increase in spend according to this research from Nielsen Co (Thailand) which looked at the year ending last month.
Throughout my time in Thailand I have to say that spend on newspapers and magazines and been up and down - but mostly down - however that hasn't stopped the appearance of new titles on a fairly regular basis (in the case of magazines).
Internet spending has grown substantially, as you would expect, since it first appeared about six or seven years ago, and with more and more money being spent online this will only grow - likely at the expense of more traditional forms of media.
