FAREWELL TO THE INSIDER

Bill Barnett, the hotel and real estate guru on the island of Phuket has revealed he will cease to write his very informative ThePhuketInsider news blog from today.
Writing on the website, Bill said: "All good things, bad things or even the mundane everyday things in life eventually run their course, and the worst thing is to outstay your welcome and end up jumping the shark.
He added that for more than six years (to me it seemed longer) since starting the blog as a reaction to the global financial downturn and a series of high impact political crisis in Thailand, he has spent more time than he could count putting out a Phuket-focused newline covering hotels, tourism and property.
Well done Bill. ThePhuketInsider will be missed.
