THAI WAYS

Anyone reading this who knows about journalism will be aware of copyflow - and how important it is. Essentially it it the continious flow of work throughout the week or month.
Yesterday I got 14 BIG stories to English Language edit for one of our magazines - the deadline of which was actually last Tuesday. I think I might need to introduce the word copyflow to their vocabulary - although such a word might not even exist in Thai.
Talking of work, the Thai workplace is very different from those in the UK. We have soft pop music playing all the time - not at a high level but just enough to be mildly annoying. And there seems to be a competition here to see who has the loudest, most crazy ringtone on their mobile phone. I think the winner has to be my secretary - who I share with the CEO of the company. It's hard to explain but I think a Thai version of a Metallica song would be there or thereabouts.
