THAILAND'S NEW PRIME MINISTER

Retired army general Surayud Chulanont was sworn in as Thailand's new caretaker Prime Minister yesterday afternoon. Although, on the face of it, it looks like the leaders of the Military coup have installed one of their own people, Surayud is widely liked and accepted by Thai people. He is seen as honest and trustworthy.
