SUNDAY STREET MARKET

Every Sunday afternoon there are markets that spring up in various parts of urban Bangkok. One happens right outside the gates to my condo. It's not big - no more than 40 stalls - but you can get a wide variety of produce and household items. There are also a few oddities like tropical fish in small plastic bags, pictured here. They range in price from around 10 baht (15p) upwards, and include some pretty fancy varieties as well as scary-looking fighting fish. I guess people must buy them because the trader is back week after week.
