AND THEN CAME THE STORM

I took this picture from my office window yesterday evening - about 30 minutes before 'home time'.
Just an hour before the sky as clear and there was no sign of anything like this happening, but within the course of 60 minutes the clouds rolled in and Bangkok was treated to a three-hour long light show.
Needless to say taxis were in short supply and the journey home, which eventually ended via a tuk-tuk, lasted the better part of two hours.

Fantastic picture!

Las Vegas played witness to record lows this last winter, as well as a record number of snow storms! It was not your average picture of a desert climate.

great picture! that's one of the things i always liked about living in bangkok- the lightning show.

of course the corresponding slog back home through the rain was never much fun....
