JUDGEMENT DAY TOMORROW

Tomorrow is Judgement Day in Bangkok and the security services are on standby to prevent any civil disorder after the court rules of the fate of five political parties resulting from the April 2 elections last year.
The rulings are being broadcast live on television to prevent people from travelling to the capital to protest at the outcome. There are reports that many people from elsewhere in Thailand are keen to travel to make their voices heard. The Police and Army will be trying to prevent this happening, according to a report in The Bangkok Post this morning.
There are so many possible outcomes to these rulings and whatever is decided it seems as though one section of society will not be happy.
Last week His Majesty The King appealed for calm and for people to respect the decision of the Supreme Court. I think many people will listen to his words and refrain from causing trouble. Whatever happens it's going to be an interesting day tomorrow.
