CLEAR AS MUD
The political events of this week have, if anything, given rise to more uncertainty about what the immediate future holds for Thailand. While there has been little in the way of public protesting and certainly nothing like the widespread violence that many had predicted, in the business sector at least there's little reason to be any more optimistic after Wednesday's rulings.
What Thailand needs badly is clarity and stability, not least because of the impression that the continued uncertainly has on the country's image outside its borders. That clarity and stability is unlikely to arrive before the next elections which, at the moment, are scheduled for December. A lot can happen between now and then.
