SECOND TIME ON A MOTORCYCLE TAXI

I've been on a motorcycle taxi for only the second time in just over a year. It was too hot yesterday so I jumped on the back for the very short ride (no more than 300 meters) to the end of the soi. The cost - just 5 baht.
Not being used to them, if the driver swerves to avoid something (usually a pothole the size of the Grand Canyon) I am still swerving to the left when he's already on his way back to the right. I guess it makes it very hard for him to control when the lunatic on the back is all over the place.

Sounds fun! I gotta try this the next time I'm in Thailand.
Do they just go anywhere?

I hardly use motorcycle taxi in BKK. Latest one on Monday, I wanted to go to Siam from our office. What happened to me next? No accident or anything, my allergy is back and just coughing and coughing.. and finally, i made up my mind not to use this fast service again cos the money and time I pay for that is very cheap comparing to health in my one life..

Also, I asked a driver why he didn't use a mask, he said it's ok for him. But i think there should be something for them on that.. again, health is very expensive

They generally go short distances, but I would not use them for longer trips or on busy roads. Far too scary for me.
